Couple gets ready to open food truck park

Sitting outdoors in the open air while enjoying delicious food with friends and family.

The plan is officially in motion to make this possible at the East Side Food Truck Park.

Owners Lindell and Krystal Barton are excited to get the area ready to greet their fellow food truck friends and the community.

“Our plan is now in motion,” said Krystal. “Earth has been moved. It’s only a matter of time before we will all be going to the East Side.”

The couple’s current plans are to host a grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 28. Several vendors and food trucks have already committed to take part in the grand opening, including The Rolling Dumplin’ Pot, Fired, Montgomery Minis + more, Mike’s BBQ and Custom Meats Co., Patty Shack, Smoke & Sprinkles, Bogo to Go, and more.

The East Side Food Truck Park is a no-generator park; electricity, water and sewer are available for hook up. The park is located at 150 Veterans Drive in Farmington, behind Sno To Go Shaved Ice and across from the Farmington VFW Post 5896 on Karsch Boulevard.

“If everything goes as planned, we are looking at having a truck-or-treat event,” said Krystal. “We have so many great ideas for future events.”

Some of those events will include live music, with some events lasting all day and into the evening.

The Bartons have tried to plan for even the smallest details, including the sometimes unpredictable weather.

Krystal explained, “Cool evening? No problem. We will have gas fire pits to keep everyone cozy. Unexpected weather? Again, no problem. We will have umbrellas covering all the outdoor seating areas.”

She said the park will also include corn hole, giant Jenga, Yard Yahtzee and more.

“We’ll have so many fun and exciting things to do while you decide what to eat!”
