Volleyball team recognizes seniors

The Fredericktown High School volleyball team held its senior night, Monday.

Fredericktown recognized its three seniors and their parents prior to the varsity match against Meadow Heights.

The Cats then recorded a straight set victory over the Panthers, 25-17, 25-13, 25-23.

September 21, the Cats defeated Farmington in a five-set classic, 22-25, 25-15, 25-22, 22-25, 15-12.

September 19, the Cats suffered just their second loss of the season, 17-25, 15-25, 18-25.

The junior varsity Cats won the silver bracket at the Valle JV Tournament, Sept. 23.

In pool play, Fredericktown split with De Soto 13-25, 25-9. The Cats lost to host Valle, 17-25, 24-26; and also lost to Bell City 22-25, 17-25. In bracket play, Fredericktown defeated Kingston 25-23, 25-23. In the silver semifinals, the Cats defeated Park Hills Central 16-25, 25-20, 15-11. The junior varsity Cats then won the silver championship 25-22, 25-15 over North County.

The volleyball Cats play at Central, Thursday.
