Fall Colors Arrive In Southeast Missouri

The fall colors on Shepherd Mountain were blazingly beautiful on Saturday along the shore of Shepherd Mountain Lake in Iron County. The entire region has begun seeing the transformation of the leaves from spring and summertime green to explosions of red, brown, yellow and orange. While the light rain that has fallen over the past two days hasn’t yet dampened the fall colors, photographers may want to snap some shots soon before the hills lose their luster in the coming days.
