Fire under investigation
The Fredericktown Fire Department responded to a residential fire Friday night at approximately 9 p.m, on East Hwy 72.
Firefighters were on scene in approximately two minutes due to having a truck stationed at the Fredericktown High School football field.
Upon arrival, crews found a single story residence fully involved in fire. Due to the amount of fire and a limited water supply, Cherokee Pass Fire Protection District was immediately requested to assist with manpower and apparatus to shuttle water.
The fire was brought under control with no injuries reported. The structure is a complete loss. The fire is being investigated.
FFD reported the fire rekindled around 4 a.m. but was brought back under control.
In addition to assistance from Cherokee Pass Fire Protection District, FFD was supported by Madison County 911, Madison County Ambulance District, Missouri State High Patrol, Missouri State Fire Marshal, and local law enforcement.
