Local student graduates, others honored for academic prowess

The following is a roundup of local students who recently graduated or were recognized for academic achievements at their college or university.

Missouri State University

Emerson Krause of Farmington was among 550 Missouri State University students awarded degrees during the summer of 2023. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

Also, Katie Lenhardt and Sawyer Wampler of Desloge; Allie Glatczak and Peyton Stacy of Farmington; and Alexis Bova and Cass Cavanaugh of Ste. Genevieve were among more than 1,100 Missouri State University students named to the dean’s list for the summer 2023 term.

For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least six credit hours during the summer semester and at least a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.00 scale).

Southern New Hampshire University

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) recently named three local students to the summer 2023 president’s list.

They are Lynda Carter of Park Hills, McGinley Wagner of Farmington, and Savanah Medlin of Farmington. Full-time undergraduate students who earn a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the list. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired eight-week terms grouped in fall, winter-spring, and summer.

The university also named Shellie Sebastian of Fredericktown and Kyle Burcham of Farmington to the summer 2023 dean’s list. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the list. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired eight-week terms grouped in fall, winter-spring, and summer.
