Gregory to succeed Bockman as North County superintendent

The North County Board of Education wasted no time in searching for a new superintendent. It has named current assistant superintendent, Dr. Brandon Gregory, as the school district’s new superintendent, effective July 1. Current Superintendent Katheryn Bockman announced her intention to retire, effective June 30, at the last regular meeting of the board held Oct. 18.

Dr. Gregory, a native of Advance, has worked in the North St. Francois County R-1 School District since 2005, first as a high school teacher, the assistant principal / athletic director at North County Middle School, Parkside Elementary School principal, and finally his current position as associate superintendent. His current responsibilities include supervising transportation, human resources, and secondary education.
