ROAD AND BRIDGE DEPARTMENT
Road and Bridge Supervisor Shannon Spain said the department is working on the damages caused by flooding and doing some work on CR 256. Spain said the department is also grading and mowing.
Guy Autry asked the Commission the status of SB 190 which will allow a Senior Citizen Tax Credit. The Governor signed the bill into law this summer. The Commission said it wants the citizens in the county to take advantage of the credit and will know more in late November on how to implement the program at the county level. The wording in the law does not include enough language to properly implement the tax credit at the local level. Additional software is needed with other requirements from the taxpayer. This should be addressed at the Missouri Association of Counties Conference in late November. The Commissioners said they will let Mr. Autry know as soon as they know.
The three Commissioners checked roads and bridges last week.
Work has begun replacing the heating and air conditioning in the courthouse.
County Treasurer Jessica Stevens presented accounts payable for the past week.
Commissioner Stephens made a motion to approve payment of the accounts. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kemp. The motion carried.
Having no further business, Commissioner Green adjourned the meeting at 10:15 A.M.
