Visitors ‘treated’ to ‘tasty’ surprise
Provided by Twila Sanders
The Nottinghams have lived in Madison County for four generations.
Their favorite thing to do when visiting their grandparents farm on E Highway was to go to the Dairy Bar for ice cream.
Joshua Nottingham (age 12) and his father came to the window of the Dairy Bar Monday Nov. 13 and were surprised to find it was open, as Joshua was told he was the very last person to purchase an ice cream cone before it closed two years ago.
Joshua and his father live in North Dakota near the Canadian border and are here for deer season, flying in for the occasion.
Joshua’s father mentioned that every time they have come to the farm from North Dakota, they always had to stop for ice cream. He was just taking a stroll down memory lane and driving by his old familiar haunts.
Joshua said he had always thought that it was the best ice cream he had ever eaten.
Thank you to the Nottinghams for the testimonial and making the new Dairy Bar still your favorite place to buy ice cream.
