Gift the Daily Journal and help ‘Shop With a Cop’

Better Newspapers and the Daily Journal are offering a great holiday gift idea for family and friends while at the same time giving you the chance to help out the Shop With A Cop program.

For a limited time, when you give the gift of the Daily Journal to family or friends, the newspaper will donate $15 to Shop With A Cop for every subscription purchased.

Daily Journal Circulation Manager said, “I take dozens of phone calls a day, and one of the things I often hear from my customers who are living on a fixed income is that they can’t afford the annual cost of a Daily Journal subscription. I have so many customers who just can’t afford extras like that while they’re also trying to cover their other living expenses.

“I got to thinking of how many times my kids have asked me what I want for Christmas, and I’ve told them, ‘I don’t know,’ or they’ve bought me something that I loved because it came from them, but was something I didn’t really need? This got me to thinking, ‘What is a more practical gift for a friend or family member than a newspaper subscription?”

When you give your friends and family a newspaper subscription, you’re giving them a year-round gift — and now, with this special promotion, you have the opportunity to make a contribution to a great program that helps local children in need.

An annual Daily Journal subscription costs $170 and includes the e-edition. During this promotion, the newspaper will make a $15 donation to the Show With A Cop program. Checks and charge cards are accepted.

To set up a gift subscription, call the Daily Journal at 573-431- 2010 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and tell us that you want to take advantage of this limited-time offer. You can also send a letter with a check or credit card number to the Daily Journal, P.O. Box 9, Park Hills, Missouri, 63601, or drop by the office at 1513 St. Joe Drive during regular office hours.
