The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Parkland Area Toys for Tots campaign donation deadline is Dec. 15. The collection efforts for donated items will begin sometime during Thursday afternoon.
Parkland Area Campaign Coordinator Lea Hamilton is hopeful the number of donated items will meet the number of registered participants and wants to remind area residents that there is still time to be a donor.
“Collection boxes are in multiple area locations, and people are welcome to drop off their new unwrapped donations there,” she said.

In 2022, 920 Parkland area children received new toys through the program that focuses on bringing the joy of Christmas and a message of hope to underprivileged children from birth to age 10.
The Marine-supported foundation also offers several other valuable outreach programs during the year: Foster Children, Native American Program, Youth Ambassador, and Literacy Program.
