COLUMBIA, Mo. — Central junior Addisyn Gasaway had the best individual result among three local wrestling teams participating in the prestigious Wonder Woman Tournament.
Gasaway finished eighth among 40 athletes in the 145-pound bracket on Saturday, and was the lone member of the Lady Rebels to reach the placement rounds.
She posted a 4-3 record with two falls over two days, and guaranteed herself a spot in the fifth-place pod by winning 9-7 via ultimate tiebreaker.
Ella Mitchem (235), Erine Stricklin (155) and Chloe Yount (120) each won a match for Central under a double-elimination format.
Farmington featured seven tournament entries, and Caraline Klump (145) led the way by going 4-2 overall with four falls.
Olivia Corcoran (115) and Marrisa Wallace (170) each pinned two opponents for the Knights.
Memory Raker (135) posted a team-high three falls in five total bouts for a North County squad with five team members in the mix.
Serena Ray (145) registered two falls and a major decision while facing elimination, then suffered a loss by fall to Klump. Keira McMillin (110) earned two falls favoring the Lady Raiders.
