City, County voters reject propositions

In both the City of Fredericktown and Madison County voters said “no” to propositions in the April 2 Municipal General Election.

 

Madison County’s Proposition E-911 was defeated with 447 “yes” votes and 538 “no” votes.

 

Fredericktown’s Proposition U lost 149-187.

 

Voters in the Marquand-Zion School District approved a “no-tax-increase” bond issue by a 66-29 vote, Tuesday.

 

In Fredericktown’s Ward III, voters elected an alderman for a 2-year term. They chose Don Reese over Jon Shell and incumbent Jim Miller. Reese received 42 votes. Shell received 32, and Miller received 30.
