Update: Anthony Alexander Kennon was located Friday evening and was returned safely to his family. Kennon said he was not in danger and had been staying with a local juvenile friend.
The St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department (SFCSD) has issued a missing persons report for Anthony Alexander Kennon, last seen on April 16 at approximately 7 p.m. in Leadwood.
The missing 16-year-old juvenile (date of birth 10-16-07) is described as a white male with hazel eyes and short brownish hair. He is 5-foot-4 inches tall and approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a bright orange sweatshirt, a dark blue T-shirt with a circular emblem, blue jeans, and cowboy boots.
Kennon left his grandparents’ residence in the Wortham area on April 16 at approximately 3 p.m. en route to an address in Leadwood. At approximately 7 p.m., he was seen voluntarily entering an unknown vehicle on Main Street in Leadwood. He has not been seen since, and his location has not been known.
The SFCSD and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Missing Persons Clearinghouse’s (MSHPMPC) website are sharing information regarding Kennon through social media. The website lists 608 cases of missing persons from Missouri.
Deputy Tim Harris with the SFCSD said that the department is following all leads, but the juvenile has not yet been located.
