Miley Wengler gets the victory on the mound for the Cats against Herculaneum.
The FHS softball team played five games last week, winning three.
September 3, the Cats won 19-5 at Jefferson. Michaela Reagan got the victory allowing two earned runs over five innings. At the plate, Calie Allgier was 4-5 with four runs scored and three RBI. Miley Wengler was 3-4 with five runs and three RBI. Reagan was 3-5 with a home run and four RBI. Ella Penwell and Brylie Allgier each had two hits.
The Cats won 17-2 over Herculaneum, Sept. 4, here. Wengler got the victory allowing two runs on two hits over three innings. Calie Allgier was 2-2 with three runs scored, a home run and seven RBI. Braelynn Sarkas scored three runs.
Sept. 5, the Cats lost 5-1 at Saxony Lutheran. Calie Allgier was 1-3 and scored the Cats run.
The Blackcats hosted a tournament Saturday and split with De Soto and Sikeston.
Fredericktown lost 10-7 to the Dragons in the opener. Wengler was 3-4 with two runs scored. Reagan was 2-4 with a home run and three RBI. Sarakas and Laynee King also each had two hits.
The Cats defeated the Bulldogs, 20-0. Becca Mangold pitched three shutout innings for the Cats for the victory. Reagan had three hits including a homerun. Mangold and Jonsyn Rehkop also each had three hits. Calie Allgier was 2-4 with a home run.
The Cats host North County Thursday.
