GODFREY, Ill. – Payton Roberts spiked 13 kills on Friday evening, and the Mineral Area volleyball team beat Lewis & Clark 25-15, 25-16, 25-18 for its seventh consecutive win.
Lara Gilardi finished with 10 kills and two blocks, and Gabrielle Damborowiski totaled nine kills, seven digs and three service aces for the Cardinals.
Belen Ferrufino posted a perfect percentage on three setter attacks, and also provided 20 assists plus nine digs in the road sweep.
Olivia Shaw made a team-high three blocks, and sent down six kills for Mineral Area (10-3), which hosts MSU-West Plains for a region showdown on Wednesday.
Ava Penuel paced the defense with 11 digs, along with five assists at libero, and former Fredericktown teammate Kyndal Dodd landed all three of her attacks.
The Cardinals also received 17 assists from Giovanna Mye and seven digs from Morella Diaz.
