March 3, 2025, the Madison County Commission met pursuant to adjournment on February 24, 2025. Presiding Commissioner Jason Green, First District Commissioner Tom Stephens, and Second District Commissioner Larry Kemp attended the meeting. County Clerk Don Firebaugh recorded the proceedings.
Kim Royer and Emma Lewis attended the meeting.
Commissioner Stephens made a motion to approve the agenda. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kemp. The motion carried.
County Clerk Don Firebaugh read the minutes from the meeting on February 24, 2025. Commissioner Kemp made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stephens. The motion carried.
ROAD AND BRIDGE
DEPARTMENT
Road and Bridge Supervisor Shannon Spain said the department was mowing, grading and hauling rock.
He said the air compressor went out on a single-axle dump truck.
KIM ROYER
Kim Royer asked if anything had been decided concerning the health ordinance that she and a group of supporters requested the Commission to establish last week. The Commissioners said they have contacted the Missouri Association of Counties attorney who will advise them on the best approach to take on this matter.
COMMISSIONERS
The Commissioners checked some county roads and bridges last week.
The three Commissioners attended their required Commissioner’s training at Lake of the Ozarks last week.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
County Treasurer Jessica Stevens presented accounts payable for the past week.
Commissioner Stephens made a motion to approve payment of the accounts. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kemp. The motion carried.
ADOURN
Having no further business, Commissioner Green adjourned the meeting at 10:40 A.M.
