Scouting America is celebrating a year marked by growth, gratitude, and community support. It extends heartfelt thanks to the local sponsors and donors whose generosity continues to empower youth across the region. With the backing of businesses, civic groups, and individuals, Scouts have had the opportunity to earn Merit Badges, explore career paths, develop life skills, and build character through hands-on learning and leadership experiences.
“Merit Badge sponsors are more than just supporters—they’re partners in shaping the future of our youth,” said Deena Ward, District Executive for Scouting America. “Thanks to them, our Scouts explore careers, gain hands-on experience, and deepen their understanding of the world around them.”
Ward said community support in 2025 has helped fund a range of programs, including:
-
Merit Badge workshops and instructional materials
-
After-school outreach programs
-
Outdoor adventures and leadership development activities
Scouting America recognized these Merit Badge sponsors and key donors for their contributions this year and support of the Ozark Trailblazers District, which encompasses St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Washington, Iron, Reynolds, and Madison Counties in Missouri:
- Brockmiller Construction
- Cap America
- Farmington Walmart
- First State Community Bank
- Fredericktown Christian Church
- Kiwanis Club of Farmington
- Madison County Wood Products
- Maloney, Wright & Robbins
- Mississippi Lime Company
- Ozarks Federal Savings & Loan
- Politte Ready Mix
- Raider Mechanical
- Seth Pegram
- Unico Bank
- US Tool Group
“Their investment in scouting is an investment in tomorrow’s leaders—and a powerful example of community in action,” Ward said.
