Hunger is a silent problem that is easily ignored, yet in the Parkland it is a dilemma that too many families face. Working families who are confronted with financial obstacles, elderly whose conditions and needs outpace their ability to make ends meet, those for whom choices between medicine or food is a life-defining decision, or countless other situations with which individuals and families must grapple daily and have no certain resolution may find some relief through the efforts of Feed My Sheep.

Feed My Sheep is a non-profit organization founded by Jack and Elizabeth Poston, which since 2018 has distributed over $200,000 to area church food banks. On Tuesday, May 20, Feed My Sheep distributed $50,000 to the Bismarck Church of God Food Pantry, Bonne Terre/St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry, Elvins Food Pantry, House of Praise Food Pantry, and Immaculate Conception/St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry. Proceeds are divided proportionally according to the number of people using the food pantry according to East Missouri Action Agency records.
Several events are held throughout the year to raise funds, and business sponsorships at various levels are available. There are currently 23 business sponsors from across St. Francois County. Feed My Sheep has a Facebook page to follow their fundraisers and activities.
