First State Community Bank (FSCB) announced a $1,000 Impact Initiative donation made on Oct. 2 to support Missouri Community Improvement Industries (MCII) to help advance the organization’s mission of creating meaningful employment opportunities and providing high-quality services to businesses throughout the region.
FSCB has spent the last decade developing its Impact Initiative Program, offering employees an opportunity to actively participate in community empowerment by making a positive impact that fosters stronger communities. Through reinvesting in the local communities where FSCB has established a presence, the program supports development goals and civic initiatives. Educational programs are funded, charitable and faith-based organizations are aided, and lives are changed through team successes. FSCB employees volunteer their time to landscape, paint, prepare meals, teach financial literacy, and more.
MCII, based in Farmington, is a non-profit that serves as a vital community partner by offering a variety of specialty project services to local businesses and industries. The organization is dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through employment, job training, and skill development programs that encourage independence and self-sufficiency.
Founded in 1975, MCII partners with numerous local companies, such as MOCAP, to handle contract work, packaging, assembly, and other projects—delivering reliable, high-quality results while fostering inclusive and purpose-driven, meaningful employment for its clients.
