Free traditional meal on Christmas Day at CiCi’s Pizza

For the 24th year, CiCi’s Pizza at 798 Market St. in Farmington will host a free traditional Christmas meal for anyone who wants one.

This will be a drive-thru event on Christmas Day from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to make the event a success. Two shifts are available for service opportunities. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Community donations of cooked ham and desserts are also needed. Those can be delivered to Steak ‘n Shake at 796 Maple Valley Dr., Farmington, until 3 p.m.

Former CiCi’s owner Debbie Peterson expressed her enthusiasm for this year’s event and her gratitude for its longevity.

“This is the 24th year we’ve done this. We sold CiCi’s about five years ago, but the new owner, Brad Saller, has been so gracious in continuing to allow us to host the meal event there. In fact, he goes to CiCi’s and helps with the meal. We used to offer a dine-in option, but COVID changed that, and we have continued to do the drive-thru option in the years that followed,” she said. “Last year, almost 800 meals were handed out.”
