COLUMBIA, Mo. – Reigning state champion Keely Fallert suffered her first loss of the season despite making a remarkable comeback on Tuesday at the prestigious Wonder Woman wrestling showcase.
The Ste. Genevieve junior placed runner-up at 140 pounds after yielding an overtime takedown to Arial Biggs of Fort Osage in a riveting 20-17 title clash.
Biggs dominated the first 2 ½ minutes to build a 16-2 lead on four separate takedowns and a prolonged near fall. Fallert battled all the way back to draw even at the conclusion of regulation.
