The Fredericktown High School Baseball team improved to 6-0 with a 20-0, three-inning victory April 3 at Doniphan.
The Cats scored two runs in the first inning before exploding for a 12-run second, highlighted by starting pitcher Ryan Souden’s home run. The Cats added six in the third to complete the victory.
Souden was 3-3, including the home run. He drove in four runs. He allowed just one hit, while walking one batter and striking out eight. Easton Wood was 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI and four runs scored. Zander Stephens was 3-for-4 with three RBI, and Ethan Marler had a two-run triple for the Blackcats. Braydan Homan, Mason Proffer, and Blake Terry-Breakfield each scored twice.
Fredericktown plays at Farmington, Thursday and hosts the Wood Bat Classic, Friday and Saturday at the Rock Wall Ballpark.
