CITY OF FREDERICKTOWN SPRING CLEANUP 2021 - GUIDELINES The annual Spring cleanup for City Residential Customers only is scheduled for MONDAY, APRIL 26TH through SATURDAY, MAY 1ST. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE FOLLOWING NEW GUIDELINES: 1. Spring cleanup will be a drop off service, although a pickup service will be available by registering at City Hall for a $10.00 fee prior to Thursday, April 22nd. Your name and address will be placed on a list and you will receive a registration certificate stating the $10.00 has been paid. No cleanup trash will be picked up without the paid certificate. 2. For the paid pickup service: items must be curbside no later than 7:00 a.m. on the regularly scheduled trash day in each ward. TRUCKS WILL NOT MAKE RETURN RUNS FOR ITEMS PLACED AFTER 7:00 A.M. 3. Items must be separated by categories for easier handling. Loose/bulk materials must be containerized (boxed or bagged) and placed neatly at the curb for easier pickup. Any trash not boxed or bagged will not be picked up. 4. If you have recyclable items for pickup, such as clothes, cardboard, newspaper, and clean aluminum cans, please keep them separate from all other trash. 5. THERE WILL BE NO PICKUP OR ON-SITE CHIPPING FOR BRUSH AND/OR TREE LIMBS. All brush can be brought to the Transfer Station free of charge. Any limbs placed at the curb will be left for the property owner/renter to dispose. 6. REMEMBER: Any pilfering and scavaging of trash placed at the curb is prohibited under City Ordinance Section 255.060, No. 7. It is the property owner/renter’s responsibility to keep trash contained. The property owner/renter may be subject to citation for littering for failure to follow these guidelines. The Transfer Station, located at 311 So. Chamber, will be open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to Noon for drop-offs. Close for lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m. Proof of residency will be required at the gate. Acceptable large items: • Furniture, appliances, hot water heaters, etc. • Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners can be accepted only with proof that a certified repairman has removed the freon (ticket with repairman’s name and permit number must be attached to each item). Doors must be removed from the refrigerators and freezers. Unacceptable items: • Roofing shingles, tires, motor oil and/or free-standing liquids, batteries, cans of paint and/or other chemicals or hazardous materials, asbestos or any combustible material and burn barrels. The City of Fredericktown reserves the right to limit or decline to pick-up any items that are not in compliance with above guidelines.
