Connie J. Purcell, 72, of Cumming, Georgia died Thursday, October 18, 2018. Connie was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Her formative years were mainly spent in and around Fredericktown. She spent many years in the Roswell, New Mexico area where she enjoyed her time with extended family and the beautiful sunsets. During her last few years she resided with her daughter and family in Cumming, Georgia where she made many new friends while attending Antioch Baptist Church. She especially enjoyed music and singing with her family.
Connie was a creative person. She had a great knowledge of old films along with the biographical information of the stars of that genre. She was dearly loved by family and friends alike and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Purcell is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia Lynn and Van Huffman, of Cumming, Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law Linda and Zane Cole; Susie and K.C. Coggins, all of Roswell, New Mexico; brothers Denver Lunsford, of Fredericktown; Ronnie Lunsford, of Roswell, New Mexico; grandchildren John and Mari Huffman-Gardea, of Deer Park, Texas; Justin Huffman, of Hendersonville, Tennessee; Jared Huffman, of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; and aunts, uncles, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Monday, October 22, 2018 in the Chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Bridgeman officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory, Cumming, Georgia.
