Homer Mouser, 88, died Thursday May 9, at Fredericktown. He was born April 19, 1931 in Marquand, the son of Charlie and Zona Mouser.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Leroy Mouser, Lela Mouser, Elwood Mouser, Virginia Cook, Rosa Starkey, Paul Mouser, and Joyce Vincent; and grandson-in-law A.J. Begley.
Homer is survived by daughters Sheree (Roger) Vandeven, Melanie (Steve Dillon) Mouser, and Roxanna (John) Johnson; grandchildren Gwen (Adam) Long, Jill Begley, Cody (Mandi) Britton, and Hannah DeVeydt; and great-grandchildren Alex Long, Tristin Long, Vivian Begley, and Trevor Britton.
Homer was a United States Veteran, a member of Marquand Methodist Church, and enjoyed I.H. tractors, hanging around all of his coffee shop friends. He loved knowing his was the oldest single-family-owned farm in Madison County, dating back to 1804.
Funeral services were Monday May 13, 2019, at Follis & Sons Chapel with Pastor Kim Mitchell officiating. Interment was held in Mouser Cemetery.
