Ashbrook, one of the four Americare senior living communities in Farmington, celebrated its 25th anniversary with an Open House on Thursday, Oct. 25.
“We are hosting this 25th anniversary event to thank everyone in the Farmington community and reaffirm our commitment to serve our neighbors with hometown hospitality” said Laurie Diekemper LNHA, Ashbrook’s administrator since 1999.
Once called Ashbrook Village Manor, the building was sold to Americare Senior Living in 1993. Despite the change in ownership, Ashbrook continues to serve the needs of Ashbrook Village condominium residents. Meals, health screenings and other services are provided when needed even though the condo residents are not affiliated with Ashbrook Assisted Living.
“That’s what we mean by hometown hospitality. And it’s why 95 percent of residents and their families will recommend an Americare community to others,” Diekemper continues. “Ashbrook Assisted Living offers person-centered care, gracious accommodations, support services, and health care to all.”
Ashbrook’s hometown hospitality is also seen through its annual support as a major sponsor for the Alzheimer’s Walk and the ongoing support for Farmington pet adoption programs.
In addition to Ashbrook Assisted Living, Farmington is home to three other Americare Senior Living communities. They are Maplebrook Assisted Living; the Arbors at Maplebrook which provides memory care services; and Southbrook Skilled Nursing.
Based in Sikeston, Missouri and established in 1981, Americare operates 23 skilled nursing and post-acute communities and 110 assisted living and memory care assisted living residences throughout Kansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Illinois and Tennessee.
