Fun for a good cause at 'Girls' Night Out'

The United Way of St. Francois County’s Girls’ Night Out is a great way to hang out with friends while helping the community. This year's theme is "Christmas in October" with the event taking place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 25 at Twin Oaks Vineyard and Winery.

Come celebrate “Christmas In October” with the annual United Way of St. Francois County’s Girls’ Night Out on Oct. 25.

The event – which is sure to be an evening of fun, friends and food – is a “win-win-win” each year as described by UW Board Member and GNO Chairperson Jackie Berry.

“It’s a win for United Way, it’s a win for Season of Hope and it’s a win for all the ladies who join us for a great evening,” she said. “It’s all about fun, friends and food…especially friends.”

The event is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 25 at Twin Oaks Vineyard and Winery, located at 6740 Highway F in Farmington.

For a $20 donation to the United Way, those attending can enjoy a wine tasting, soda or water plus a variety of appetizers.

Attendees are also asked to bring an unwrapped toy or gift card for the St. Francois County Community Partnership’s “Season of Hope” program.

All proceeds from the event benefit St. Francois County agencies.

“This is a night about getting together with friends,” Berry said. “We will have a delicious array of snack foods. Everyone also gets an opportunity to look at the wonderful items up for bid in the silent auction.”

No reservations are needed to attend – “just come out and have a good time with your friends,” Berry said.
