The Women's Connection Brunch from 9:15 to 11 a.m. on Nov. 13 will feature Julie Powers of Farmington, a Health & Wellness cheerleader, who teaches individuals and families to get healthier through the Power of Plants and what good nutrition can do for the body.
She is also a licensed Zumba instructor at the Farmington Civic Center for nearly eight years and a regular co-host of the Parkland Perk Up radio show on KREI. The brunch is held from 9:15 to 11 a.m. at the Farmington Presbyterian Church Tea Room, located at 403 W. Columbia and Cayce Streets.
Our Special Speaker, Peggy Lee of Overland Park, Kansas will share how she survived life's detours. After marrying her college sweetheart, they adopted a daughter and a year later gave birth to a baby girl who became a special-needs child. There was a divorce and Peggy was a single mother until she met a farmer from Excelsior Springs, Missouri. They married and she met the new challenges of being a farmer's wife until he died unexpectedly. After moving back to Overland Park, she met a new member of her church choir and they married a year later.
Peggy continues to find herself surviving detours and would like to help you with yours.
