A photo in the Oct. 31, 1968 Farmington Press shows a measles clinic taking place at the St. Francois County Courthouse. The photo shows Sharon Fairchild of Knob Lick receiving the vaccination from Dr. C.W. Chastain while assisted by nurse Mary Helen Roberts. The caption states Chastain was using a hypo spray jet injector which injected the solution under pressure through the skin without the use of a needle.
