Live debate

Fort Davidson State Historic Site will be having another Tuesday evening talk at 7 p.m. this Tuesday.

This talk will cover the rough and tumble world of 19th century Missouri politics and will seek to recreate the tumultuous circumstances surrounding the beginning of the war.

A live debate will be featured as well as a discussion of how the stump speech became an art that influenced much of Missouri citizens’ wartime decisions.

All talks are free and open to the public.

The museum recently had General James P. McCormack’s saber added to their collection. He was a veteran of the Battle of Pilot Knob.
