The Fredericktown Blackcats lost 56-3 in their second of three consecutive, scheduled road contests, Friday at St. Mary's (St. Louis).
Fredericktown received the opening kickoff but was forced to punt. The Dragons fumbled on their initial possession, but FHS turned the ball right back over.
St. Mary's then scored on a 69-yard pass and run to make it 7-0 with 9:49 to play in the first quarter. The Dragons added three more first quarter touchdowns to grab a 28-0 lead.
The home team scored twice to start the second quarter and take a 42-0 lead.
Fredericktown got on the scoreboard on a 35-yard field goal by Colten Jordan.
St. Mary's scored once more to make it 49-3 at the half.
For the game, Seth Laut completed 15 passes for 138 yards. Noah Korokis caught eight passes for 99 yards. Laut led the Cats on the ground with 45 yards on 14 carries.
On defense, Korokis and Isaak Starkey led with five solo tackles, each. Ethan Flanagan had three solo tackles and a forced fumble. Tristan Casby recovered the fumble and had four solo tackles.
Next up for the Cats is a trip to North County, Friday. The Raiders, 6-2, are coming off a 54-17 victory over Potosi, Friday night.
