Small Business Saturday was this past weekend. The annual tradition is dedicated to supporting small businesses and celebrating communities across the country.

Many of the local businesses participated in the event, organized by the Madison County Chamber of Commerce.

Local participants included Country Lane Florist; the Depot Cafe; The Mustard Seed Mercantile; Ward's Farm Center, LLC; Chuck's Short Stop; Durso Hills Winery and Bistro; Ellis Battery; Revival Trade & Coffee Company; Domino's Pizza; Fredericktown Vision Center; IBS Print and Promo; McCutcheon Clan Creations LLC; Gloss Roots Boutique; and Gifford Lumber Co. of Fredericktown.

Small Business Saturday and the "Shop Small" campaign is more than just shopping at small businesses. It helps to support local economies and promote vibrant, diverse communities. This nationwide event helps shoppers, business owners and organizations work together to celebrate community.
