Norma Jean Moore, 88, (formerly of Marquand) died Sunday, February 4, 2018, at her daughters home in Silex, Missouri. She was born May 25, 1929 in Buckhorn, a daughter of Elmer Lee Mouser and Ethel Margaret (Hovis) Mouser.
March 12, 1948 in Fredericktown, she married JC Alvin Moore,. He preceded her in death December 7, 2000. Mrs. Moore's parents also preceded her.
Mrs. Moore is survived by three children, Alvin Moore and wife Bev of House Springs, Missouri, Karen Moore and husband Paul of Silex and Terry Moore Sr. of Marquand; two sisters, Retha Tripp of Lake Ozark, Missouri and Christina Mouser of Laurel, Maryland; brother Forrest Mouser of Cadet; eight grandchildren and seventeen great and great-great-grandchildren.
Norma Jean had worked at the Angelica Uniform Manufacturing Company in Marquand for thirty-five years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with friends and family and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marquand.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. John Canterbury officiating. Interment will be at Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Marquand.
