Hopefully the title of my article does not offend anyone.
If so, I am sorry. But according to the Constitution, I have the right to free speech and expressing my own well wishes accordingly.
I love hearing the Christmas songs, seeing the lighted trees and nativity and other displays, and watching excited children telling Santa their secrets.
True, some are definitely not related to the true meaning of Christmas which is the birth of Jesus, but still they seem to create within us the desire to be more loving, giving, and compassionate. I’m afraid all too many of us have been willing to sit back or cave in to a very small minority who want to change anything and everything they can about our Judeo-Christian heritage.
If you do not believe in Jesus and His birth and want to worship someone or something else, that is your decision and choice. I can accept that and will not intrude on your rights to believe whatever you wish. I would only ask that you allow me the same courtesy and privilege.
I probably will just pray for you and leave the rest up to my Heavenly Father. My wish for each and everyone of you is to have a very Merry Christmas (or hopefully you had a Happy Hanukkah), a special time with your families, memories to last a lifetime, and joy beyond compare. We have more than most for which to be grateful and thankful.
