Royce and Georgia Flowers, Ironton, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children on Saturday, June 1, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Flat River Church of Christ, located at 220 Crane Street, Park Hills, MO.
The couple was married on June 2, 1963, at the Oak Hill Christian Church, near Bucyrus, MO, and both are graduates of Houston High School. Royce obtained a B.S. degree in Forestry from the University of Missouri in Columbia. He spent 31 years working for the MO Dept. of Conservation before retiring in 1996. He then developed, and still maintains, a private forestry consulting business.
Georgia, in addition to being a housewife, was the local community leader for the Arcadia Valley 4-H Club for 26 years and also held jobs at Arcadia Valley Drug and Iron County Farm Bureau.

They have two married daughters: Sheila and Mike Bradshaw of Columbia, MO, and Shari and Kevin Morey of Lee's Summit, MO. They also have eight grandchildren: Andrea, Grant, Travis, Amanda, and Abby Bradshaw; and Erica, Erin, and Eriel Morey.
Friends and family are invited and encouraged to join the family to celebrate this happy occasion. Cards are welcome as are letters of shared memories, but the couple asks that gifts be omitted.
