Maegen and Randall

Maegen McCord and Randall Turnbough were united in holy matrimony on the afternoon of July 10, 2010 at Solid Rock Family Church in Farmington.

The bride is the daughter of Barry and Deneen McCord of Bonne Terre. The groom is the son of Rick and Rhonda Turnbough of Fredericktown.

Grandparents of the bride are Sonny and Janet Waller of Desloge, Leeman Ferrel McCord of Desloge and the late Ellen Marshall McCord. Grandparents of the groom are Thomas E. and Ruth Jackson of Mt. Vernon and the late Ella Marie Townsend, Irvin Hamman of Desloge and the late Aldena Thurnbough Hamman.

The maid of honor was Melissa McCord, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Madison McCord, sister of the bride and Dara Schalamon, friend of the bride.

The best man was Joshua Massey, close friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Nick Fulton and Christopher Jenkerson, friends of the groom.

Ushers were Jeremiah Vandergraph, friend of the bride and Caleb Massey, friend of the groom. Candle lighters were the ushers and Bailey waller of Festus, cousin of the bride.

The ring bearer was Brent Turnbough, nephew of the groom. The flower girls were Brittany Manning and Julie Turnbough, nieces of the groom. The guest book was attended by Jennifer Brock, friend of the bride. Azlynn Clay, cousin of the bride, assisted with the rice bags.

The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Duane Massey. Special prayers and blessings were given by Rev. Rick Wade and Rev. Darryl Rhodes.

The golden wedding band of the bride’s great grandmother was tied to her bouquet of turquoise roses, white daisies, stephanotis and baby’s breath.

Preceding the ceremony, guests enjoyed a musical slideshow presentation created by the bride sharing childhood photos of Maegen and Randall followed by photos of them as a couple. The bride was escorted down the asile by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The couple exchanged vows that they had written themselves.

Music for the touching ceremony was performed by Eric Wade. Vocalists, Andria Wade and Cory Thomure, close friend of the groom, beautifully sang “When God Made You,” during the lighting of the unity candle and the presentation of roses to the mothers of the bride and groom.

Following the ceremony, family and friends were treated to a dinner reception catered by Sandy Kennedy of Mineral Point at the Centene Center in Farmington. The three tier fountain wedding cake was baked and decroated by Leeman Ferrell McCord, grandfather of the bride. Aunts of the bride, Diane Brewer of Desloge and Claudia Waller of Festus, served the delicious wedding cake. At the cake table, a special floating candle was lit in memory of the couple’s deceased grandparents.

After a honeymoon in Gulf Shores, Alabama, the happy couple now resides in Cleveland, Tennessee. Maegen will graduate in July 2011 with a degre in communications from Lee University and is employed as a cashier at Cracker Barrel. Randall is employed at Cooke’s Grocery Store and plays bass guitar for Parallax View.
