Three city boards will meet tonight.

Park Hills

The Park Hills City Council will meet in regular session tonight to hold a public hearing and to consider several ordinances.

First, the council will hold a public hearing to gather public comment on a request for a special use permit to construct a two-family duplex at 700 Dix Avenue, in an R-2 single family residential zoning district.

Following consideration and a vote related to the planning and zoning case, the council will hear City Administrator Mark McFarland’s report.

The council will then hear any committee reports during the Mayor Daniel Naucke’s discussion period.

In unfinished business, the council will consider an ordinance authorizing the mayor to execute an agreement with Crawford, Murphy and Tully for engineering services related to a traffic study.

In new business, the council will consider an ordinance proclaiming a general election to elect four councilpersons to serve two-year terms and one councilperson to serve a one-year term. The council will also consider participation in Missouri’s Highway safety program for the purpose applying for grants as requested by the Park Hills Police Department.

The council will consider an ordinance amending the city codes related to planning and zoning commission meeting dates.

Also considered will be an ordinance authorizing the mayor to execute an amendment to an agreement with Taylor Engineering, LLC for engineering services and an ordinance authorizing the mayor to execute an amendment to an agreement with Missouri Highway and Transportation Department.

The council will also review and discuss updated zone map progress before hearing the city attorney’s report.

This meeting will be open to the public.

Bismarck

The Bismarck Board of Aldermen meets in regular session at 7 p.m. in the old train depot, located at 901 E. Main.

According to the tentative agenda, in old business the board will hear from Anita Skaggs with Crouch, Farley & Heuring CPA and Mark Craig who will speak about sewer issues at Carla's Cafe.

In new business, the board will open sealed bids for the removal of trees on Walnut for the sidewalk project, as well as bids for selling property at 1309 Spruce. Discussion will also be held on selling a city vehicle.

The meeting is open to the public.

Leadington

The Leadington Board of Aldermen meets in regular session at 6 p.m. tonight at the municipal building, located at 12 Weir St.

According to the tentative agenda, in old business the board will discuss the vacant alderman seat and property in Park Hills left to the city.

In new business the aldermen will cover a number of topics that include open bids for Penny Lane streetlights; Garson Lane streetlights; the Woodlawn Cemetery lawn and cemetery system support; mosquito control; police training at Mineral Area College; software, grants and laptop mounts; Good Friday; sick days; the Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday; and Woodlawn Drive.

The meeting is open to the public.
