North County Primary recently held Dr. Seuss Week and it was packed with activities to help the staff and students celebrate their love of reading.

North County Principal Chad Lynn said there were dress-up days with themes coming from the zany doctor's numerous books and more.

“Members of our community were able to visit and read to our students, which is a great opportunity,” said Lynn. “The second grade students also visited area day cares and nursing homes to share their favorite books with everyone they met there.”

Lynn said Family Night with the Cat last Tuesday gave parents the opportunity to explore the crazy world of Dr. Seuss with their child.

“The evening included games, crafts, sweet treats and a few new surprises,” said Lynn. “North County Primary's Dr. Seuss Week is always a huge success and demonstrates our strong ties between community and school. Thank you to all the staff, parents, and students who participated.”
