Education and Business Innovation Summit

Education and Business Innovation Summit for St. Francois, Madison, and Iron Counties

An Education and Business Innovation Summit is being planned for St. Francois, Madison, and Iron counties in conjunction with the WIRED Initiative (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development). Through WIRED, our region has been granted $5 million over  a three year time period to promote economic development through the education and training of our workforce, targeted specifically at the area’s key industry sectors of healthcare, advanced manufacturing, logistics, alternative energy, and tourism. Key to it’s success is the forging of strong community partnerships between the business and education and a regional approach to issues that affect Southeast Missouri.

The Education and Business Summit is an excellent opportunity for industry and education to share resources and ideas on how to better support the current workforce and look ahead to develop that of the future. Everyone interested is invited to take part in the interactive discussion and be involved in the process of making our region a more vital player in the changing global economy. Please plan to attend and bring our best ideas and solutions!
