Friends in Action Clubhouse Art Show Toti

The Friends in Action Clubhouse Art Show and Sale is returning to the Parkland Friday night for its 11th year.

The popular community event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Farmington Public Library, located at 101 North A Street.

According to Clubhouse Unit Staff Member Michael Hunt, a total of 15 community artists have donated pieces, along with 23 clubhouse members.

"We appreciate all the wonderful donated artwork and support from our community, as well as those of our clubhouse members and the youth," Hunt said. "Many types of art are going to be included in the show, such as photography, jewelry, paintings, quilt, crochet, pottery, baskets and painted gourds."

The live auction will start at 6 p.m. with Mark Toti as emcee.

"One of our members will be doing caricatures all night for tips like we did last year and we're also going to have our greeting cards for purchase at the show."

Light refreshments will be served, along with non-alcoholic beverages. Free musical entertainment will also be provided.

This year's proceeds go to the support the clubhouse.
