A Farmington resident missing since July 8 was found in Corpus Christi, Texas Tuesday afternoon.
According to Lt. Chris Bullock of the Farmington Police Department, Albert Casares, 65, of Farmington, contacted Corpus Christi Police to report he was safe and sound.
“Casares walked into a police station in Corpus Christi on Tuesday and verified he was okay and not being held against his will,” Bullock said. “Apparently he knew the police were looking for him. Casares is reportedly in good health and is not suffering from any medical issues.”
It was first reported that Casares may be in danger based on information reported to the Farmington Police Department by Casares’ wife, who told police he had left without is medication. Casares does suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
The reason for Casares leaving for Texas is still unknown, but the police believe he went to visit family who live in the Corpus Christi area.
