CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Bonnie Jean Hennessy, 89, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center. She was born April 20, 1928, in Willow Springs, Missouri, to William Wade and Bertha Rozella Cobel Belshe.
Bonnie and Thomas J. Hennessy were married May 15, 1949, at Willow Springs, Missouri. He preceded her in death January 2, 2013.
Bonnie was a graduate of Willow Springs High School and attended Missouri State University. She operated her own blueprint shop, worked for Welcome Wagon in Cape Girardeau and retired from Sears-Roebuck where she was a sales representative in the appliances and TV department. Additionally she worked as a real estate agent.
Bonnie was a member of Abbey Road Christian Church. She was also a member of Women's Federated Club, Campfire Girls, Elks Lodge, VFW Auxiliary and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was a great advocate of Bridge.
Survivors include her two daughters, Lisa Lee (Rodney) Denman of Farmington, Missouri, and Robin Rae Hennessy of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one sister, Deanna Lee Estes of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Wade Dean (Freda) Belshe of Licking , Missouri; four grandchildren, Ashlee Brooke (Mehdi Loukili) Denman of Farmington, Rodney Taylor Denman of Austin, Texas, Karter Shipley Denman of St. Louis, Travis Wade Fellows of Cape Girardeau; two nieces, Susan (Steve) Skyles of Cabool, Missouri, Leslie (Jeff) Peede of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and one nephew, Jamie Estes of St. Louis, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one nephew, Kyle Dean Belshe.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
