WEST BLOCTON, Ala. -- Frances M. (Pope) Morse, 80, of West Blocton, Alabama, entered into eternal peace surrounded by her loved ones on December 10, 2016, at home. She was born on July 4, 1936, to the late D. B. and Hattie Lee (Williamson) Pope in Philadelphia, MS, the oldest of 4 children. Frances was a member of Brent Baptist Church in Brent, Alabama, and a long-time member of the Bibb Medical Center Auxiliary
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, J. T. Morse, brothers, James Hal Pope and Elbert Ray Pope, half-sister, Patricia Manion and half-brother, David Pope.
She is survived by brother, Jerry (Peggy) Pope; half-sister, Dean (Jimmy) Ferguson; half-brother Billy (Letha) Pope; her five children, Jacqueline (Don) Shannon of Park Hills, Missouri, William (Cindy) Simpson of Park Hills, Missouri, Joyce (Ted) Walker of Bourbon, Missouri, Jimmy Simpson of Farmington, Missouri, and Sherri (Richard) Carroll of West Blocton, Alabama; eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friend, Mr. A. G. Ellison of Centreville, Alabama.
A private graveside service was held for the family at Hebron Cemetery in West Blocton, Alabama.
