FARMINGTON -- Mr. Larry Neil Ransom, 75, passed away November 24, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis County. Larry was born July 13, 1942, in Esther, Missouri, and was the son of John P. Ransom and Ruby E. ‘Ball’ Ransom. Also preceding in death was a brother, Donald Caree.
Larry was a member of Farmington Presbyterian Church and a US Army veteran of VietNam.
Survivors include: his wife of 41 years, Bonnie Sue ‘Berry’ Ransom, of Farmington. A daughter, Tiffani Ransom, of Farmington. A son, Scott Ransom, of Claremore, Oklahoma. Four sisters: Margaret Watts, of Desloge; Charlotte (and Ray) Hall, of California; Phyllis Sherrill, of Desloge, and Sue (and Richard) Bess, of Desloge. Three brothers: John (and Rosemary) Ransom, of Sullivan; Jim (and Madonna) Ransom, of Farmington; Mike (and Lorraine) Ransom, of Cuba. Five grandchildren: Kyle Sovel, of Oklahoma; Brandon (and Brittany) Ransom, of Jefferson City, Missouri; Careea (and David) Richter, of Las Vegas, Nevada; Ryanne and Hunter Ransom, of Claremore, Oklahoma. Also surviving is his good dog “Peanut.”
Visitation, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 6:30-8:30 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Visitation moves to and starts at 10:00 a.m. at Farmington Presbyterian Church, with a funeral at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Bob Bullock officiating. Entombment will be held with Full Military Honors at St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery in Bonne Terre. LeadBelt Patriot Guard Riders will lead the funeral procession to St. Francois Memorial Park.
