State Rep. Chris Dinkins, R-Annapolis, will be handling the duties of caucus secretary for the House Majority Caucus for the 2019 legislative session,
The members of the caucus met Wednesday at the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City, overwhelmingly supported Dinkins to fill the leadership role. As caucus secretary, the 144th District representative from Iron County will serve as a member of the House Leadership team.
She will take part in all leadership meetings discussing priorities, policy and other legislative items. In addition to that, she will keep caucus members informed and up to date on the most pressing policy issues of the legislative session.
Dinkins said she is excited to join the House Leadership team and hopes to use her new role to help the caucus and her constituents in moving Missouri forward.
First elected to the House in a special election held in 2018, Dinkins was re-elected in November. She is the first member in recent history to serve as a member of House Leadership as a freshmen legislator.
Dinkins represents parts of Washington, Wayne, Reynolds and the entirety of Iron County.
