Two individuals were injured in area accidents this week in Washington County.
A Sullivan woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 185 Tuesday afternoon at 1:10 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Haley Williams, 36, was driving her 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche southbound on Highway 185 at Peach Road when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and overturned.
Williams was not wearing her seat belt and was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by Washington County Ambulance with serious injuries.
In a separate accident later that evening at 11:53 p.m., one woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 21.
According to the patrol report, Gerlinde Verdin, 39, of Irondale, was driving her 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound on Highway 21 just north of Settle Mill Road when she went off the left edge of the roadway and struck a parked 2002 Ford F350.
Verdin was not wearing her seat belt and was taken to St. Anthony’s Medical Center by Washington County Ambulance with moderate injuries.
