Bonne Terre woman receives "serious significant injuries" in motorcycle crash

A Cadet woman was seriously injured in a crash at Highway 21 and Route E Friday afternoon. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 1:25 p.m. Tad Owings, 48, of Potosi, was traveling northbound on Highway 21 and ran a traffic light at Route E, striking a westbound 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage driven by Debra Howerton, 58. 

Howerton was taken by ambulance to Mercy South for serious injuries. 

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. 

A Bismarck man was seriously injured in a crash on Highway 32 at Davis Crossing early Thursday morning.

According to the report, a 2006 Toyota Highlander driven by Jeffrey Shikles, 21, of Cedar Hill, was stopped to make a left turn when a 1998 Jeep Wrangle driven by 41-year-old Peter Jones struck the SUV. 

Jones was taken to Mercy Hospital-St. Louis by Air Evac.

Shikles was not wearing a seat belt. It is unknown if Jones was wearing a seat belt.
