For people who think that voting doesn’t matter, your health and wellbeing are worth a vote in the election this November. You never know what could happen – I had a stroke a few years ago and had to be flown across the state by helicopter. The cost of that without insurance could have caused me financial ruin. I’m lucky enough to have good coverage, despite having 2 pre-existing conditions (diabetes and high blood pressure) and being a skin cancer survivor.

If you care about your health, protecting yourself or loved ones from being refused insurance, or just being a decent person, you should vote in November for Claire McCaskill. She is fighting for us. Josh Hawley supports taking away protections from people with pre-existing conditions. That would be devastating for so many people, myself included.

This issue affects each and every one of us, no matter how old or young. Only one candidate has shown that she’s on our side here, and that’s Claire McCaskill.
