Electric car in FSCB lobby for Green Week

First State Community Bank is helping to make Farmington more green by providing a variety of events during Green Week 2009. As part of their efforts to raise awareness, the bank will exhibit an electric car from Electric Car Co. in Bonne Terre.

“This is a great way to showcase both businesses — all while telling people the importance of going green.”  Bank Vice President Beth Hoffman said.

The exhibit, sponsored by Electric Car Co. and Elements Green Banking, is not in the First State Community Bank’s lobby in downtown Farmington and will remain until the end of Green Week, April 24.

Electric Car Co., owned by Ron LaPlant, recently moved from Farmington to Bonne Terre, and offers a variety of electric cars to the Parkland.

Elements Green Banking, from First State Community Bank, is an electronic account designed to reduce the use of paper in day-to-day transactions.
