The Fredericktown girls soccer program reached new heights this season with a 17-4-1 overall record and first appearance in a district championship match.
PERRYVILLE, Mo. – A historic season for the Fredericktown High School girls soccer program came to an end on Tuesday. The Blackcats reached their first district championship, but lost 2-0 to the Perryville Pirates.
STE. GENEVIEVE – The Potosi baseball team came close to shocking Valle Catholic during the MAAA Tournament quarterfinal round two weeks ago.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Blake Coleman was in control both on the mound and at the plate on Saturday as the Potosi baseball team advanced in the Class 4, District 2 tournament.
CADET – Dylan Morrison pulled an RBI single through the infield in the bottom of the seventh inning, and the Kingston baseball team celebrated a 3-2 walk-off victory over Grandview on Tuesday.
CADET – Caden Merrill and Tycen Price combined to pitch a four-hitter on Monday, and West County captured its first outright MAAA Small-School championship since 2005.
STE. GENEVIEVE – North County junior Jobe Smith overpowered the Kingston lineup for 11 strikeouts, and pitched a six-inning no-hitter on Tuesday.
O’FALLON, Mo. – Alivia Buxton broke her own school record for goals in a single match, and helped the Fredericktown girls claim their second tournament championship in soccer program history.
POTOSI – A three-team tennis tournament that featured one singles and doubles bracket saw host Potosi emerge with a champion on Monday.
OWENSVILLE, Mo. – Potosi scored six runs in the third inning and five more in the seventh to defeat Owensville 15-6 and snap a nine-game losing streak on Friday night.
PARK HILLS – Casen Murphy pitched five stellar innings on Tuesday as the Central baseball team clinched at least a share of the MAAA Large-School baseball title.
